Founder and Head Pal

Hello! I am Zane Schumacher the founder of myfinancialpal. I created myfinancialpal to help people with their everyday personal finances. Throughout my time as a financial advisor, I came to realize that most people don’t actually need a financial advisor who primarily helps with managing investments and charges high fees to do so. In reality, they need someone to help with the basics and get them on the right path to financial success. Whether that’s creating a plan to pay off debt, build savings, improve credit score, prepare for retirement or even just setting up the right accounts. Have you ever asked yourself which account should you set up? Roth IRA or Traditional IRA, or wonder what a high interest savings account is and if you should switch to one? It can be difficult to get quality guidance but myfinancialpal is here to help.

Qualifications

I graduated with a B.B.A in Finance then spent 4 years at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor. During my time at Merrill, I went through years of extensive training about investing and helping others with their financial lives. I acquired many licenses including the series 7, series 66, health & life insurance, etc, which gave me the ability to provide investment and financial planning advice. I continue to learn about personal finances to expand my knowledge and allow me to help others as best as I can.

I am extremely passionate about helping others get a better grasp on their personal finances and work with them to better their financial lives. It’s amazing the impact a little guidance and a clear plan can have on one’s life.
